Quick Perspective GraphicQuick Perspective on First ‘three person baby’ born using new method

Three person baby! This reminds me of some Indian mythology stories dealing with creation of individuals by the combination of powerful characteristics from several gods and goddesses to support destruction of an evil power. With this extraordinary achievement in genetics, it seems reasonable to assume that we the humans may not be too far from being able to create humans with specific characteristics using technology. As long as the technology stays with the right people and is used for the right cause, this is all positive for the future of science.
